Principles

Spirituality

Everyone has a connection to the power of love.

I strive to honour the religious and spiritual path of each whom I meet, while grounding myself in the root of my own Christian faith.

Creativity

We engage in life through body, mind and spirit.

I strive to support others in finding their own creative expressions. Artistic forms through which I express my life and spirituality include dance, music, writing and culinary arts.

Anti-Oppression and Trauma-Informed

Integrating anti-oppression and a trauma-informed approach calls for deep honouring of truth as each individual experiences it, and integrating that truth into how we approach relationships, wellness and spirituality.

Spirit. Food. Justice.

Spiritual Director

Everyone has a spiritual dimension,
their connection to goodness, love,
and a higher truth.

Sometimes a companion on the journey
can help nurture that connection.

I’m a spiritual director, and
spiritual direction is a sacred time
when I create a space for you
to tend to this connection.

If you would like to know more about the spiritual direction that I offer, I would be glad to have a conversation.

Vegan Home Cook

What started out as a Lenten pescatarian preactice in 2009 turned into an ethical and spiritual choice to be vegan by about 2010, grounded in compassion for animals. Sweet and savoury vegan cuisine has become for Thérèse a favourite pastime, an artistic medium and, when the food is created for others to eat, a spiritual practice.

Very much an amateur home cook, Thérèse has sought help along the way by completing several online cuisine courses:
Plant Based Professional (Rouxbe)
Fran Costigan's Vegan Desserts (Rouxbe)
Vegan Cheese Workshop (Vegan Gastronomy)
Professioinal Chocolatier Program (Ecole Chocolat).

She dreams of one day opening a vegan Trini-Canadian cafe. If it never happens in real life, perhaps one day she will create an online version.
